GADGET PART 9: SAMSUNG GEAR S2 WATCH VS IPHONE WATCH

VIDEO OF SAMSUNG GEAR S2
Samsung Gear S2 and Apple watch
A smartwatch is a computerized wristwatch with functionality that is enhanced beyond timekeeping. While early models can perform basic tasks, such as calculations, translations, and game-playing, modern smartwatches are effectively wearable computers. Many smartwatches run mobile apps, while a smaller number of models run a mobile operating system and function as portable media players, offering playback of FM radio, audio, and video files to the user via a Bluetooth headset. Some smartwatches models, also called 'watch phones', feature full mobile phone capability, and can make or answer phone calls. We have two types of smartwatches with different brand and it is Samsung Gear S2 watches and Apple watches. Let’s see which is better to use.

DESIGNED
The design of Apple Watch is rectangular and the Samsung Gear S2 is round. The Apple Watch is curvy, the Gear S2 is a bit more angular and traditionally watch-like in design. The Apple Watch uses a small digital crown dial and touch display to navigate the interface, while the Gear S2 gets around with a spinning bezel and a touch display. Okay, that last bit isn't all that different, at least in concept. In execution, the larger ring on the Gear S2 offers a bit more travel before you have to pull your finger back and start spinning again than the Apple Watch's digital crown.

MEMORY
The storage of Apple Watch is 8GB of built-in flash memory, out of which they can use just 2GB for music and 75MB for photos. The remaining 6GB of storage will be used for the Watch’s operating system and apps, as well as app caches and settings. When the Apple Watch is paired with an iPhone, all music and photos on that iPhone are available from the Apple Watch. It same with the Samsung Gear but it paired with the Samsung smartphone. Next, the storage of Samsung Gear S2 is 4GB Internal Memory with 512MB Random Access Memory (RAM).

HARDWARE
The Apple Watch uses the S1 system-on-chip. It uses a linear actuator called the "Taptic Engine" to provide haptic feedback when an alert or a notification is received, and is used for other purposes by certain apps. The watch is equipped with a built-in heart rate sensor, which uses both infrared and visible-light LEDs and photodiodes. When the Apple Watch is paired with an iPhone, all music and photos on that iPhone are available from the Apple Watch.
The Samsung Gear 2 retains a similar hardware design to the original Galaxy Gear, although a Home button has been added below the screen, and the device's 2-megapixel camera was moved from the strap to the top of the watch itself, alongside a newly added infrared blaster. The device's processor was upgraded to a 1.0 GHz dual-core Exynos 3250 system-on-chip. An optical heart rate monitor is located on the bottom of the device

For us, Apple Watch is the best chosen with the high RAM, the design, and also Apple use a visible light LED. It suitable for those really love to make watches be one of their collection of gadgets and easy to carry anywhere.
